Keeping The show On The Road Tour

Keeping The show On The Road Tour

Sunday, March 2, 2025 @ 7:30PMSun, Mar 2, 2025 @ 7:30PM

Tamworth Assembly Rooms, Corporation Street, Tamworth, B79 7DN

With Special guest Beth Belle!

Together for over 25 years, The Jive Aces have become renowned for their high-energy live shows, touring in over 40 countries. The band aims to spread cheer with their swinging music and classic vintage style, from crooning smooth ballads to blasting honking rhythm and blues to the infectious rhythm of rock 'n' roll's roots. Having played for Her Majesty the Queen, sold out the Royal Albert Hall, become the first band to reach the finals of Britain's Got Talent, or simply entertained at one of their 250 annual live shows, they consistently demonstrate why they are the UK's No. 1 Jive & Swing band!

With their signature yellow suits and a repertoire that spans the timeless tunes of the swing era to the glitz of the Rat Pack with a dash of classic rock 'n' roll, they perform songs in their unique upbeat style by legendary artists such as Louis Prima, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Sammy Davis Jr., and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as a selection of superb originals.

They have collaborated with numerous celebrities, including Van Morrison, Chick Corea (who recorded on their "Recipe for Rhythm" album), Kenny Ball (appearing on their "King of the Swingers" album, Kenny's last ever recording), John Travolta, The Proclaimers, The Undertones, Status Quo, Toto, Keely Smith, Jamie Cullum, Priscilla Presley, and Kirstie Alley, to name a few.

The Jive Aces have earned their reputation and won several prestigious awards, including the City of Derry International Music Award, the Variety Club of Great Britain Award for their contribution to music and charity work, and several film festival awards for their high-production-value music videos.

When the Jive Aces released a music video for their upbeat version of the beloved UK theme song "Bring Me Sunshine," it immediately went viral and has garnered nearly 4 million views on YouTube. A doctor in Seattle even prescribed the video to patients to combat the blues! Their version of the song has also been featured in countless TV shows, including four times on "Strictly Come Dancing”, Jason Manford’s “Scarborough”, Ninja Warrior UK, Fox’s “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” in the USA and more.

At the start of the pandemic, when all their shows were postponed, the band launched an online live-streaming show called the "JiveStream" to lift spirits. Uncertain of how long it would last, they committed to a daily show, which ultimately turned into 500 consecutive performances. As a result, they gained a host of new fans and friends worldwide, from the USA to India and from Australia to Ireland. This experience inspired their new album and tour, "Keeping the Show on the Road," as they persevered through thick and thin to bring people live music.

The new album, "Keeping the Show on the Road," celebrates the songs that have become live favourites over the past few years. The band aimed to capture the energy of a live experience in the recording, and the album is now available on CD, vinyl, and digital platforms. Songs from it have been featured on the BBC, Boom Radio with "La Vie En Rose" even reaching No. 1 in Mike Read's Heritage Chart!
